Do you always use eggshells for seed pots? And do you remove the shells before you put them in the ground? I usually buy those little expandable fiber pods.
This is my first time experimenting with those... I do have other seedlings growing in those 'pods' as well. I plan on putting them directly in the ground, but cracking the shell a bit more to allow for roots to expand easily. A friend of mine mentioned the shells may add extra calcium to the soil...
